Lucas Puig, French Fred and the Demise of Flip

Be sure to peep Cliche's new commercial featuring Lucas Puig with some nice editing and camerawork courtesy French Fred. Lucas's switch flip tricks are heavenly- maybe i should get a pair of his seemingly favorite shoe.....In any case, Lucas has steadily been killing it. Incredible style, pop and tech tricks (although the Fully Flared back smith to back noseslide seems to be a weak addition to the ledge ballerina NBD list mostly inhabited by this wizard's fleet-footed creations). Puig has put out lots of great footage, including a shared part with Lyon cohort JB Gillet, an appearance in the new Fourstar video (excellent, btw) and some other random Youtube clips (if you can stand this song, I can't).
On the opposite side of the lens, it seems that French Fred has made the right decision in abandoning the little-kid, cartoony Flip crew in favor of Cliche. As the Flip videos have become more extreme, they seem to stray further from the classic Sorry. Not to say the skating in the newest Flip vid is bad. Rune, Bob, Appleyard, new kid Luan and Rodrigo contribute some excellent footy, yet this is horribly marred by a shitty soundtrack and weird claymation introductions (masturbation, in particular, wtf). This vid is better watched with the volume off and some quality music of your choice.
